I've never had a Massage, Facial or Nail Treatment before. Is there anything I should do or know about before I come in for my appointment?

Fret not! Our in-house experts, with years of experience under their belts, are trained to understand your requirements and concerns, and suggest the right treatment accordingly. Before getting started, your therapist will walk you through the treatment, explaining what you’ll be experiencing every step of the way from beginning to end.

Can I go to the restroom during a treatment?

Absolutely! Your therapist will ask you prior to your treatment if you would like to use the restroom. Also, if at any time during the treatment, you need to use the restroom, feel free to ask.

Can I choose between a male and female therapist?

Sure thing! We have both male and female therapists, so just let us know which you prefer when you book your appointment.

Should I eat/drink before coming to the spa?

We suggest eating a light meal prior to a massage or better still, coming on an empty stomach. It is best to avoid drinking alcohol or atleast limiting the amount of alcohol you consume prior to a massage. Eating and drinking is perfectly fine prior to skin care, nail care and beauty appointments.

What body parts are treated during a traditional massage?

At Alines Beauty Care & Spa, we provide both full body massages as well as head massage, back massage and foot massage. In a full body massage, the therapist will massage your back, neck, head, hands, feet, legs, arms, décolleté and gluteal muscles. If you would like the therapist to skip any of these areas or pay special attention to a specific area, just let him/her know before getting started. What’s the difference between a Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage?

A Swedish massage is a luxurious massage technique that melts the muscles and relaxes the mind using long fluid strokes with varying pressure to improve muscle tone, circulation and joint flexibility. This type of massage is generally less intensive than a Deep Tissue Massage. A fusion between Swedish massage and structural massage, Deep Tissue Massage relieves aches and pains in the deepest parts of the muscles. It is perfect for working out knots, and alleviating stubborn tension and soreness.

Do you provide steam and shower after a massage treatment?

Yes, after your massage, you can use our shower and steam facilities to make the most of your treatment. Once the treatment is completed, your therapist will ask you if you’d like to take a steam and/or shower.

Can I use the shower before a massage?

While we’re happy for you to shower at our salon before a massage, we suggest you let us know that you’d like to do this when booking an appointment. That way, our front desk personnel can let you know how much in advance to arrive in order to make your appointment time

Is it safe to get a Massage after a workout?

Yes, it is actually recommended to get a massage after a strenuous workout as the massage will help flush out the lactic acid that has been generated in your muscles. It is also a great muscle recovery technique.

Do you provide a place for me to store my belongings during a spa treatment?

Yes, we have a locker inside every spa room, where you can store your valuables for the duration of your treatment.

Do you provide a Couple Spa experience?

Yes, we provide Couple Spa experiences, where both you and your partner can indulge in a relaxing massage in one of our Couple Spa rooms. Once the treatment has been completed, you can use the attached steam and shower rooms.

What is the difference between an Ayurvedic and Spa-based massage?

An Ayurvedic massage uses medicated oil to work on any pain or soreness you might be experiencing. On the other hand, a Spa massage is technique based and uses pressure point targeted treatments to stimulate the flow of blood in your body, which in turn can help relieve you of aches, pains and soreness. A Spa massage uses various techniques like acupressure, stretching, reflexology to give you increased flexibility and reduce your stress levels.

What brands do you use for your treatments?

We use only the best global brands for all our treatments, be it Wella and L’Oréal for hair treatments, Dermalogica and O3 for skin care treatments or OPI for nail treatments. We believe in using only the best quality products for our clients. We also sell some of these products at our salons to help you keep your skin and hair healthy and glowing.

Do I need to bring anything with me for my treatment?

We believe in making our treatments a stress-free experience for you, and hence we don’t require you to carry anything with you when you come in for your appointment. You could choose to carry your music or a book that will help you relax. Everything else will be taken care of by us.
